Howdy everyone! We have made it aaaaalmost all the way, we are now in Namibia. Crossing the border from Angola to Namibia was like going back to Europe again. Actually Namibia reminds us so much of Australia it seems like we have left Africa. Supermarkets everywhere, ATM machines that actually work, no more potholes in the road, friendly police officers, English speaking people and everything seems to be pretty cheap too! Also no more running for visas, planning where to get fuel and food, its time to relax! The next few days well be resting until well feel like moving again. For now enjoy the video compilation from Burkina Faso to Angola, be warned some shots may be graphic as a live chicken will be devoured.
We have arrived in Brazzaville, Congo! Now planning our further route to get our Angolan visas, which seems theoretically impossible. Officially its only possible to got an Angolan visa in your home country, but people have been getting them in some places anyway. I guess we will just give it a shot in all possible places. If we dont succeed, we will have to do the most toughest route EVVVEEERRRR through the DRC. People say that its not possible to cross in the wet season, which is ending next month. Time will tell which one it will be. (secretly im hoping for the mud in DRC, but dont tell Jasmin). In the meantime, keep yourselves entertained with the following pics! |
